Perhaps you have received an email which is attached a Power Point entitled "Slow Dance" . In the email it says that the poem was written by a child suffering from cancer and that the initiative came from the prof. Cicognani, known pediatrician in Bologna, which has instead denied everything.
This is a hoax and the story is pure invention, but continues to circulate.
The poem was written by David L. Weatherford - psychologist child - and it is beautiful, even without the suggestion of a sick child. Judge for yourself.
